London - Saturday 20 June

We’re less than 3 weeks away from my big London gig of the year. I’m delighted to have been asked by Baba Yaga’s Hut and Iklectik to curate a mini festival of electronic musical talent, and, just between ourselves, this is one hell of a line up.
Loula Yorke has been smashing it out of the park lately with an outstanding run of albums and gigs. Both she, and Polypores are unquestionably some of the very finest modular synthesists the UK has to offer. Constantly breaking new ground and having more musical ideas in 30 minutes than most people offer in a lifetime.
A’Bear will be bringing her psychedelic shamanic techno glammy racket to bring some beats, vocals and more to the show. Sulk Rooms has been absolutely decimating the UK on a recent tour with his intense death metal approach to electronic. And Kylie Monologue will be kicking off proceedings with her signature blend of 80s New Wave meets 90s Warp electronica.
It’s all happening on Saturday 20 June at Iklectik in Peckham Levels from 3pm to 11pm. Tickets are £30 for what is promising to be an absolute monster of a day.
People & Industry: special edition

In press for the first time since 2022, my second album People & Industry gets a deluxe gatefold vinyl repress. Released on Castles In Space on Friday 3 July, the album will featuring four bonus tracks on a second 12” 45rpm disc.
A special edition of the album on CD featuring all bonus tracks will also be available.
Two of the four bonus tracks were released as a Bandcamp exclusive with the original album in October 2021. They are presented here on vinyl and CD for the first time. The other two bonus tracks are reworked versions of songs from that time - first is a beefed up and funked up version of Polytechnic from the album. This is the version that’s been in my live set recently. The second is a new version of the first track I did for the Live At FoxFest during one of our many lockdowns.
The bonus tracks will be exclusive to physical copies of the record and to the Bandcamp edition. The version on streaming platforms will be unchanged.
The special pressing will be on transparent blue vinyl with blue, black and white splatter on one disc, and blue, black and yellow splatter on the second. Both discs are heavy weight vinyl.
This album has been out of press for a while, and it’s always the one people ask me about at gigs. So, hopefully your questions have been answered!
The record is also going out to stores, so will be available in all your favourite independent (or independently minded) record shops. They may have it available for pre-order. Otherwise it will be available at 8am on Friday 3 July on Bandcamp.
That’s all for now folks - it’s a relatively quiet year for gigs. I’ll be back at the start of July with more record news.
TTFN!
Gordon
