Interim Report: May 2025

New music, new gigs, new records and more!

Hi folks!

Live at Roadburn 2025.

I've not messaged for a while, so I thought I'd give you an update on where things are in the wonderful world of Warrington-Runcorn.

Live dates

First off, I recently performed at the Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands. I'd been commissioned to write and perform an entirely new live set for it. My set was called Industrial Growth, and it'll form the basis of an album for 2026. Bits of it are also working their way into my live set for Autumn.

Speaking of which, I've got a tour lined up through September and October and tickets are selling fast! You don't want to sleep on these, as they're flying. I've added a date in Dublin too, so I'm really looking forward to that. All dates and ticket links can be found at my website.

EPs on CDs?

Thank you for rushing to buy the Overspill Estates EP. I've been really amazed at how well that has flown out! We've got a repress on order and it should be arriving with Castles In Space, and then into the record shops in July.

If you've missed out on buying the EPs because you don't do vinyl, Castles In Space are just ordering a run of CDs that will compile the tracks from the 2023 EP Building A New Town, the 2024 A Shared Sense Of Purpose single and 12", and the new Overspill Estates EP. This will be called Appendix 1 and should be out very soon.

‘Solo’ album

Very Quiet Music To Be Listened To Very Loudly - out soon!

A week on Friday will see the release of a new album of mine - though it's not a Warrington-Runcorn album. Castles In Space is launching a new CD imprint called Lunar Module, and we'll be kicking off with my album Very Quiet Music To Be Listened To Very Loudly. It's more organic, ethereal and soundtrack-y than Warrington-Runcorn. I'll post a link as it comes out.

The next Warrington-Runcorn album

And finally, my 2025 album is called Public Works and Utilities. It should be out in the Autumn... and here's an exclusive look the album cover. Six new WR songs for your enjoyment, as ever on Castles In Space.

Public Works and Utilities - the next Warrington-Runcorn album.

All the best,

Gordon
